Classroom Easter Fun

Hello Blog Buddies!

After a wonderful start to the school year, we have reached the first milestone of
(I can hardly believe it...) ONE TERM DOWN!

I decided that Easter decor was in order...

... so the Easter Tree was dusted off and brought into school.

Some cute, felt Easter buckets added to the vignette.

(A quick 'shout out' to a mum from last year, Leanne,
who gave me these last Easter..... Hello Leanne! Have a lovely Easter!)

They are very happy buckets!

Once again, I wrote every child's name on a decorative egg and hung it
on the tree ready for them to take home when the holidays came.

I always buy the eggs from 'Bed Bath and Table' who always have beautiful
Easter decorations at very reasonable prices.

We also had bunnies hiding around the classroom.

The room looked very colourful and bright.

In our final week of term, we celebrated Easter festivities with lots of
colourful crafts that helped to practise our fine-motor skills.

We are also working on holding pencils correctly.

We made happy, cute bunnies.

Our Buddies came in for a visit and helped us make these too...

Some of us decided to wear them!

I think they look like 'all kinds of cute'!

Then of course, we had the Easter treats....

... because what's Easter without chocolate?

I bagged them all up to have them ready to take home.

You can find the website for these adorable, free tags Here

I also made sure my Teaching Team were not forgotten.

Chocolate for everybody!

When we went home for the holidays...

... we had plenty of decorations to take home with us.

Happy Easter everyone!

What are you doing for Easter this year?

Learning Spaces

Hello Blog Buddies!

As I have mentioned before, my new school and classroom is located
in a federation building. We recently explored the 'middle hall' area that provides
our department with an awesome learning space.

(Can you see the enormous portrait of our sovereign, Queen Elizabeth II?)

I simply love the light that is thrown in via the large windows.

The space allows our students to explore our inquiry topics in a beautiful area.

The teachers in my department get together and 'set up' learning stations
that reflect our inquiry topic.

My students are learning to work co-operatively and cohesively.

They are learning about our schools attitudes with their learning...

... as well as making new friends.

They are learning to take turns as well as how to ask for things politely.

Learning to work together, as well as how to 'get along,' are both
important skills to master.

My students are already showing me they know how to work together
and how to use manners.

They have also formed many new friendships.

Working together can be so much fun...

... And a great deal more productive than working by yourself.

I think it is going to be a fun year!

How is your year going so far?

Let me know....leave a comment!
