Hello Blog Buddies!
I find it incredibly difficult to believe, but this little cutie-pie has celebrated her 18th birthday!
Here, our gorgeous daughter is about 5 years old....
... The 'Divine Ms. M' has always had a sparkly personality...
... So of course, (as she is so well-loved) we simply had to throw a friends
and family celebration to mark this auspicious event.
Ms M decided on a 'Movies and Hollywood' theme.
These are the invitations which included the lanyard for everyone to wear...
... And this was what the invitation looked like inside... very cute!
We had a heaps of fun decorating for the night...
The cake even 'went with' the theme...
... It was made by a mum from school and it was both fabulous on the outside...
and on the inside! (Chocolate mud cake....deee-lish!)
We decided to have the whole party catered for so there was plenty of gorgeous food
which finished up with these little desserts.... too cute!
(Yes..they tasted as good as they looked!)
We had speeches... and cake cutting... and then lots of laughter.
People travelled from interstate to celebrate this family milestone...
... which made the occasion even more special...
... and also a great opportunity for people to 'catch up' with each other.
We also 'looked into' hiring a 'photo booth' for the evening.
After extensive research, it was decided that would be rather expensive
and concluded we could simply make our own 'props department'
and set about creating our own 'photo booth'.
So, with props provided, and some fabulous frames sourced from my school...
... who needs to hire a 'photo booth'??
So. Much. Fun. !!
Can you pick who is behind the masks??
(The photo below was take rather late into the evening...can you tell???)
So difficult it is to believe, we now have an 18 year old in the family who brightens our lives.
Our daughter is intelligent and highly motivated to succeed in life...
but more importantly, she is a kind, funny and compassionate person.
We all couldn't be more proud of her.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
