Melbourne Teacher Winter Meet-Up

Hello Blog Buddies!

I wanted to share a post about another wonderful Teacher Meet-Up that I participated in these school holidays. After the amazing success of the first Melbourne Meet-Up, Laura from
'Little Apple Learning' decided the next meet-up should be an indoor event.
(Winter... and winter in Melbourne!)

(To see what happened at the first meet-up, read my blog post Here )

Laura found a 'central' venue in the city of Melbourne with a set menu and selected a date. Tess at 'Miss Tess Classroom' was in charge of decorations and photo booth props and I was assigned 'Teacher Appreciation Bags' ...and assorted prizes.

The count down began and finally the day arrived. We met at a Thai restaurant called 'Bang Pop' who were extremely accommodating and welcoming.

Laura, Tess and myself arrived early to 'set up' and place items on the tables.
(My extremely helpful niece Harriet, was also there and was... extremely helpful!)

Name tags by Tess made it easy to re-connect with teachers who attended the first meeting and also easily introduce new attendees. (As we mostly knew the teachers via their 'Instagram names' it was quite fun learning people's 'real names'!)

Through the support of some lovely sponsors, I managed to acquire a number of prizes and giveaways for some very deserving teachers.

Finally, teachers began to arrive... Yay!

(Sorry... most of the photos were taken with and iPhone)

It was really wonderful seeing some familiar faces again...

... As well as meet some new friends.

The food was great... and the conversation ever better!

The photo booth provided a great opportunity for giggles...

... And instagram pictures.

But best of all... everyone went home with gifts, a smile... and a feeling of appreciation.

I am sure you would love to know what was in 'The Bags'...

Well... firstly, a huge thank you to 'Teachers Pay Teachers' for the wonderfully sturdy tote bags. They also sent pens to share.

The cute cookie was handmade by the talented Sophie from 'The Dessert Studio'.

Other donations included stationery such as stickers and award certificates from 'R.I.C. Publications', 'Link Education' and 'Zart Art'.

'Aldi' kindly donated lip balms and chocolate.

Additional 'one off' gifts were donated and presented as individual prizes by the lovely Angela from 'Bespoke Botanics', Emma from "Emma Smith Event Stationery', 'Kmart'
'The Reject Shop' and Arbonne.

It was an absolute pleasure working with Tess and Laura and we are already planning our next Meet-Up for the Spring Break Holidays.

If you are a Melbourne Teacher (or even visiting from inter-state, just as two girls were this time!) I hope you come and join us. So you don't miss a notification, make sure you follow me on Instagram...
