When Animals Visit...

When Animals Visit

Hello Blog Buddies!

An Education Blog today...

We had an extremely exciting day last week. The wonderful team at 'Wild Action Zoo' sent the gorgeous Meghan and her menagerie of wild animals to visit us at school.

The best part about this program is that every single child has
the opportunity to have a photograph with an animal.

Meghan was also a fountain of information on our Australian wildlife.

Some of us had to be very brave...

... especially when the crocodile came out!

Most of learnt a great deal about how we should look after our wildlife.

There was an extremely obliging kookaburra that laughed 'on cue'...

... and a wonderfully patient bat called 'Gizmo'.

The echidna was called 'Rosie' but was actually discovered to be a male some
time after his name day!!...

... And of course, the cutest animal was this very placid joey.

What a fabulous way to spend a day!

We enjoyed doing some wonderful follow-up activities in the classroom, but if any reader is looking for some fun activities with a focus on animals to do with their children, look no further than here....

With just a simple paper plate, many animals can be created by a child.
