A Winter's Day

Hello Blog Buddies!

I wanted to show you all some photos from a fun day we had at school last term.

We decided to mark the change in seasons with a special 'Winter's Day' celebration.

All the children were invited to wear hats, gloves and scarves to school.

...And sparkly shoes also seemed appropriate.

Students were also invited to bring in a board game to play with each other.

Everybody also remembered to bring in their favourite cup or mug so they
could enjoy a hot drink of 'Milo' or hot chocolate...

...With marshmallows! Yum!

One of my students has a mother who is incredibly talented. Sophie made these beautiful cookies for every child in the room as well as for all the teachers in the department. They were delicious.

There were lots of smiles and full stomaches!

How gorgeous were the cookies?

In the afternoon we all 'built a snowman' and made paper snowflakes.

The results have been brightening the entrance to our classroom.

It was a fun and cosy day.
What have you been doing this winter?
