A Sydney Break

Hello Blog Buddies!

During the summer break I was fortunate enough to manage a quick
trip, to visit my dear friend, (Mrs. M) in Sydney.

Upon arrival, we were treated to a wonderful lunch as a gift
from Mrs. M's gorgeous husband. Mr. C understands that Mrs. M and myself
simply must 'catch up' (without interruption!) when we first see each other.

What a fabulous place to do just that. Talk and dine here,
and you really feel like to are in Sydney!

Quite the view!

It was simply perfect...

and the Opera House was certainly looking her best.

Later in the weekend, we ate fish and chips at Watson's Bay....

It was a beautiful, balmy evening...

... that only Sydney can put on.

To finish what must seem like quite the culinary weekend, we met two more friends
for a gorgeous 'High Tea'...

..... with Wedgwood!

The company was fabulous and I really enjoyed the decor of the hotel.

The art work was eye-catching,

and the colour scheme was very much to my liking. It was lovely and cool after
coming in from the Sydney heat outside.

These flowers really 'popped' against the other, more muted, tones.

It was the perfect setting for a beautiful 'girlie' catch-up.

The food was simply ahhhmazing....

(I would like to point out, at this point, that this tiered extravagance
was for four people.)

It took us all afternoon to make our way through these delights...

... and they were, indeed, delightful.

The food was accompanied by champagne, tea and sparkling conversation.

Mrs. M finally shared a gift of twenty-five postcards for each of us with Jane Austen quotes on each one. As we are all members of the Jane Austen Society of Australia, it was a kind and thoughtful gesture that finished the day off on an extremely elegant note.

We were all "excessively diverted"!
