Fairytale Work

Hello Blog Buddies,

As you know, we have been focusing on Fairytales in our classroom this term. I thought you might like to see some of the amazing work my 'little cherubs' have completed...

'Jack and the Beanstalk' was a favourite with the class....

... and all the children enjoyed making their own giant as well.

Fairytales are very useful when discussing sequencing.

One of my personal favourites is 'The Gingerbread Man'....
(Thank you Talia for letting us borrow your personal Gingerbread toy for our display!)

I am finding it really difficult to believe that only a few short months ago, some of my class could not form letters correctly or independently....

Now look at what they can do without any assistance...

... I am so proud of them!

Here is the book we used to launch the next Fairytale...

The class had a great time making these three houses for our classroom 'Three Little Pigs'...

Another activity that generated writing was our wolf 'Wanted' posters.

The 'Little Red Hen' is a perfect story for young children to 'perform'.
We had a lot of fun pretending to be lazy dogs and cats and saying 'Not I!' just at the right moment.

These 'Little Red Hens' have brightened our classroom...

This one looks rather worried...

And this one was made by Leilani who has recently discovered she required glasses....
so she thought her 'Little Red Hen' would benefit from a pair too!

What is your favourite Fairytale?
